Climate Action by EU Citizens Delivers for Development (ClimACT) is a pan-European advocacy, communication, mobilization and training project funded by the European Commission (DEAR line) for the period 2020-2024. ICN collaborates with more than 20 European organizations affiliated with Oxfam and Climate Action Network International.
The project has 3 key objectives: awareness raising, training, mobilization. Among the topics transversal to all project activities, the need to create active civic participation on climate change issues and awareness of the interconnections between climate change, gender equality and issues of development and international cooperation.

At COP27, together with our European consortium DEAR, we supported Kenyan activist Elizabeth Wathuti’s open letter in favor of climate justice.
Elizabeth Wathuti is founder of Green Generation Initiative. She addressed world leaders at the U.N. climate negotiations in November 2021, urging them to “open their hearts” to the plight of communities on the front lines of the climate crisis and to act with the scale and speed needed to ensure a livable future.
This is Elizabeth Wathuti’s open Letter.
